Biogas and biomethane plant, powered by OFMSW
EAL Compost - Terranova dei Passerini, Lodi (IT)
The plant serves several municipalities in the province of Lodi and aims to recover municipal solid waste and vegetable waste, giving new life to the waste to produce electricity in addition to the production of high-quality compost. A virtuous example of circular economy.

Eal Compost increased the amount of non-hazardous waste to be treated within the plant from 34 thousand tons per year to 55 thousand tons per year through a biogas upgrading section built by Biowaste to be able to produce biomethane to be fed into the distribution network with a fourth anaerobic digester to be able to degrade the organic matter.
