Chemical Pharmaceutical Cosmetics Sector
This sector groups a very large variety of sub-sectors, characterized by the production and technological peculiarities of each specific production. In general, however, the limits for discharge to sewers or surface waters imposed by the Tab. apply to the purification and discharge of wastewater in these types of industries. 3, All. 5 of Legislative Decree 152/06.
The types of sewage treatment plants for these sectors are differentiated into:
PRIMARY WATER TREATMENT
In case it is necessary to treat primary water to make it suitable for the production process, we propose:
- Membrane Filtration Plants
-
Chemical-Physical Facilities
- Filtration on sand
- Filtration on activated carbon
- Disinfection
- Implants with Ion Exchange Resins
In particular, for the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors, a final electrodialysis (EDI) section can be provided for the production of “ultrapure” water.
SEWAGE PURIFICATION
The following types of plants (or a combination thereof) are planned for wastewater treatment:
In the most complex cases, to determine the most cost-effective treatment process in terms of “capex” and “opex,” we propose a feasibility study before proceeding with the final plant bid that includes:
- Wastewater sampling and analysis;
- Treatment trials on pilot plants;
- Drafting the final report.
